Luxor - Egypt

Does anyone on here live in Luxor, or has anyone ever been to Luxor and can give any idea as to if its a good place to go on vacation?

Also does anyone know the actual dates of the Ramadan holy month?

I spent 10 days in Luxor last year. Lots to see if you like ancient egypt....Valley of the Kings, Luxor temple, etc I loved it. I stayed on the west bank....a bit quieter. The boys can be a little too friendly, especially if you are a single male travelling alone. The Felluca guys and the carriage drivers will try and offer you extras if they think they can. Everyone in Luxor survives on tourism to some extent, and they will take advantage of the unwary and naiive.
Ramadan is expected to start on thursday 13th, according to the moon cycle.

Hi Alex. I expect you've been to Luxor already. I have been many times. I know the best places to go to and where to find boys that will give you a good time, boys that like to be discrete and who you can trust. You are quite right, Ramadan is not a good time to be in an Islamic country. I tend to spend several months in Egypt and through this I learn a lot about the way these people work and what they expect of you. When you find a lad who makes you happy it is worth hanging oto him. I see you live in London. I come there to get my ticket at Egyptair. They are a great airline.

I was in Luxor during Ramadan and it is fine traveling there at that time. The felluca guys will try their hardest to get you to take a private trip with them. If you are traveling alone they will buddy up to you and do everything to convince you to try their boat. Everyone is very friendly about it and when you choose one, I found a few of the others get a little upset that you did not choose them. Once out on the water they drop hints at more than just a relaxing cruise. When down in Aswan I was surprised at how forward they were as well as some of the guys hanging out on the corniche. At any rate, Luxor was my favorite place to view antiquities in Egypt.

I want to go to Egypt and have me some fun with the MEN there, I need me TOPS. How easily can you find tops there??? I wonder if I can have me one for a relationship or are they all there just interested in MONEY??
