Ok...this forum seems like it has a lot of members but there is barely any activity (as far as MANY users posting/replying goes),,,so what's the deal lol.
I mean I would think that a lot of people would be posting a lot in a forum like this one because a lot of gay/bi arabs and non-arabs would be able to meet and make friends  ...
What do you guys think? :)

It would be nice to make friends for certain. I wish I could meet some that are here in USA. Am not of Arab origin but find them very appealing.

My guess is that some folks only want to view pictures so they can jerk off, others would like to post but prefer to only read posts because they are either shy or they prefer not to share personal information. Oh, and of course there is also a group of people that doesn't have a clue how forums etc. work exactly so they might take their time to get used to this type of site before they become active on the site. Anyway, this forum seems to get a little busier every day so I think that more people will start posting too.

I just realised that there's also probable a big group of people who only bother to post if they think that their post will result in a sexdate for them...

I agree with both of you. However there is also the possibility that some of the non-Arab members fear being recognized as people who are Arab friendly especially here in the US. As for myself I could care less. I do not always have a ready reply for the postings. I do confess to liking to look at the photos and no denying they are very good. Thanks to those of you who do post the photos.

Wow, that kinda shocked me. Non-Arab members from the US fearing to be recognized as people who are Arab-friendly???
I was about to ask: 'when did THAT start?', but then I realised.. I think..
Still, it's shocking, and most all; silly, if you ask me.. Unless of course I'm missing your point.

I for one will not post to this or any of the forums anymore because I don't like the idea of being labelled "sex tourist" by insensitive people, who only seem to have their own blinkered view on life.

Well people may have what you call their own "blinkered" view of life but \that is their opinion. If we don't like it then we ignore it and carry on with our own life and thoughts.
I personally agree with "Butt Boy" than many don't know how these forums work. I for one did not, but am getting used to it; also agree that many just want to look at pictures and jack off or wnak it as some folks will call it.
The site is getting busier every day and that is a good sign.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be insensitive. Actually, I think your post (http://www.arab-gay.com/forums/showpost.php?p=349&postcount=4) could be a little insensitive and offensive towards Moroccan people. Are you aware of that?
Your holiday report mentioned only sex, so it seemed to me that sex is the only reason for you to travel to Morocco and Egypt. I could be wrong though, I don't know you at all. And more importantly (I think); I wouldn't judge you for it if you would travel just for sex. I was only saying that I wouldn't travel just for sex myself, and that Morocco has so much more to offer. I'm pretty much aware of the fact that Moroccan guys are hard to resist, and believe me when I say that I'm not a saint.. I just don't like the idea of having to pay for sex, or getting paid for sex. Especially in Morocco with all the poverty, simply because I don't like the idea of exploiting people. On the other hand, the guys often really need the money so if both the prostitute and the client are happy and satisfied then why not.. It's a difficult subject I think. I'm not sure what's right and what's wrong, or maybe there is no right and wrong.
And the reason why I mentioned sex tourism is because your holiday report mentioned only sex with prostitutes in Morocco, and sex tourism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex_tourism) is 'travel to engage in sexual intercourse or sexual activity with prostitutes, and is typically undertaken internationally by tourists from wealthier countries' according to wikipedia. When I read your post those two words just popped into my mind. Actually, based on what you wrote I sort of figured that you would understand that your activities would be labelled as sex tourism by just anyone.
Anyway, if travelling to Morocco for sex is your thing then fine. I'm sure you don't need my approval and I didn't think you'd even care about my opinion. And I'm sorry if my reply in the other thread made you decide to not post again, but discussion forums are meant to discuss in so if you can't stand the heat.. You can't expect everyone to have the same opinion.
And if you're calling me blinkered based on what you read from me in this forum? Well, then who is blinkered.. :)
Anyway, your intention when you replied in the other thread was probable just to share your knowledge and experience with others, and it's good that you did.

And if I engage in sex without paying, is it still considered "sex tourism" ? :) :D

I think sex without paying is just considered to be sex :)
As long as it isn't sex with minors I suppose hehe

Your comments are interesting. I live in Thailand [and have done for more than twenty years]. I have a farm with five gay boys as "cowboys". They all lead their own lives with boyfriends etc but we have a very comfortable relationship on the farm [we start work at 0600 each day]. We also have a holiday home in Jomtien [the up-market side of Pattaya!!!] where my "cowboys" can relax and have fun.
What has got to be realised by any "felang" [Thai for foreigner] is that you are considered as an ATM . You can have fun but you have to pay for it - albeit at a considerable less cost than Europe or America. As long as you can accept this fact then you can enjoy.
If you are coming to Thailand drop me an e-mail and I will do everything I can to assist you [and to avoid you falling into problems!!!] <ikc[AT]mail2world.com>
Be good

Hi everyone!
Geisha here... it has been some time since I've posted.
Everytime I made a posting, I do look forward to replies.
But guys... face it! Every single reply is just an opinion from an individual and it may or may not suit your liking... but what's the big deal!
All of us come from different parts of the world and we uphold different beliefs and morals, so of course we may pose different views.
But most important, we must be responsible of what we are saying!
Lastly, and this is my initial intention of this posting, I do agree that this site seems busy with a strong member strength... but everytime I visit this site... it is always oh-so-QUIET... why?
I'm not shy or afraid to make my existence here... and I also look forward to know an Arab boyfriend here.
I might be dreaming... but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed... as always...
Sweet Dreams!

Hey guys!
Frankly speaking, I've already tried my best to make myself heard at this site... but still, all I find here is quietness and slow response... I'm really getting a bit disheartened here.
Is it because it's just purely my low luck here... or is this really the right place for me to find arab boyfriends here?
Hope more arab guys can come up to make friends with me soon.
I'm very easy-going... don't be shy to pick me up!
Or maybe I shd learn to be more patient...
Wish me better luck!
Geisha
