I never was in jordan but I often read about one internet cafe in Amman with the name books[AT]coffee. I understood that it is a relaxed place for straight and gay people. We would call it "gay-friendly". I think it is in the old town of Amman. Just ask people. Would be nice to hear later your report here on this site. Good luck!

I SPEND TWO MONTHS IN JORDAN WORKING THERE.
I can give u same informations about gay life in Jordan.

Basically, the only gay life you will find is either out door cruising or at the men only hot springs and hammams (traditional baths). I think so that in Amman, there is a cruising area near the Roman Amphitheater at Hashemiya Square and the bars of the large international hotels in Aqaba gays meet along the Corniche.

Jordan has no sodomy laws; the age of sexual consent is 16 for all, guys and girl. Be sure about this questions for your own health :-)

For hang-out places, yes, Books[AT]cafe had its reputation as a gay hang-out but not a gay place, precisely, but there are places where gay guys would gather.
In this places use to meet lot of european people inside, couples, gay couples, but its not a totally gay place

the most easy way to have a safe meeting with gays in Jordan is chatting or add by Internet; you can find about 200 guys waiting any message from you in many websites. in gaydar and in bearwww there are a lot of them

I travelled to Amman and the ebst place is the Roman Ampitheatre after 5. I picked up alot there.
