Log on to the Tukey gay guide. It is pretty reliable and will give you information on Istanbul, Izmir,Antalya and Adana. Follow its advice. For tourists in Istanbul the only safecruise area is the park between the blue mosque and Aya Sofia. Do NOT cruise In the taksim area. If you are travelling alone you will get pestered by guys offering to take you to bars they are not to be trusted. In some of the gay bars you will find men who are gay for pay.As a general rule you should think twice if they invite you back to their place. As a 18 year old Aussie you ewont have problems find men,just be careful who you choose. In Antalys there is one gay bar which gets going after 11. It is on the road that goes to the Sheraton. It is listed on the gay guide. It is not easy to find. It is in the basement, there is a straight bar above it. The cruise ares are in the park by the sea and opposite the tramstop close to the tower. Turks go for sex at beach level from the park. not recommend for a lone Aussie traveller. Police sometimes raid it. Cruising is subltle in Turkey. Easy to miss. You will have a great time providing you follow the advice of the Turkey gay guide. Let me know if you want more info
