I had a look at algamea.org, the one in Michigan. There is a video-interview about gay Irakis who fled to Syria. It gives us a seldom-heard or seen point of view about what it means to be gay and persecuted in Irak. There is this one man who, after being arrested by a so-called "religious" militia because of his unreligious behaviour, was then raped by these same "religious" guys!!!
Have a look at this video; no need to understand Arabic as there are English sub-titles. Needless to say the western media would never touch the subject of gay Irakis with a ten-foot pole.
