Arabic Student - Summer 2009

Hey everyone -

I know it's quite some time in the future, but I'm looking to study Arabic in the Middle East sometime during the summer of 2009. Any recommendations for the country with the best Arabic instruction - and the hottest guys, of course? ;) I really like Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE... but I don't discriminate...

I heart and read that te best way to learn arabic is to do lessons in damaskus or aleppo. In Syria they speak a good pure arabic. How the boys are? I never have been there. I myself would like to know!!! Because id like to visit this countyr myself. It is said that the peope are very friendly. Body-to-body contacts are possible in hammams.

I'm heading out to Luxor in Egypt later this year to improve my [minimal] Arabic.

i studied last year in cairo at AUC- good program, especially the spoken element. also, really easy to meet interested guys (cruising is extremely common and easy to find in cairo) . however, the campus moved out to the suburbs a few months ago, and as such it's a major trek. downtown is where to find guys, but new campus is 40 mins out- major killer for me.
lebanon has good program at AUB called CAMES, i might do that next year. focuses on written arabic but a spoken element also included. gay guys easier to find in leb, but culture is different from cairo- more westernized, so you won't just find guys looking for guys, but instead gay man. cruising seems a bit less obvious from the time i spent there.
syria should have best arabic program from what i hear, tho haven't investigated too much. i'm in the process tho so give any updates if you find something
