Anyone of you was already in syria and can tell me his experiences? I read more or less contradictionary reports. I know of course that there is no gay scene like in europe. I know from other countries like turkey that you do not need such a scene to make nice contacts. Officially gay sex is forbidden in syria by law but it seems that no one cares. I heard the best places are the hammams of Damascus and Aleppo. Anyone can tell me more?

I lived in Syria in the 80's and you didn't have to go anywhere in particular to meet very interested guys. Although I do remember having a lot of fun in Damascus in a park near the Hejaz station as well as the Hamam in the souk. I dont know if they are still there. I would be surprised if things have changed that much. However, I would say that Syrians in general are more repressed sexually than other Arabs - lets hope this has changed!

I'd like to know what it is like these days.

Syria ... the best guys are there I think. Good looking, sexy, hot and yearning for a fuck. Many internet cafes are full of them such as those in Damascus. But also the souq of Aleppo and the corniche of Lattakia. Best way to start is as a non sex contact and then build from there. Syria is sadly a police state and trust is rare :( However some military men are also into this kind of thing and they are the hottest of all.
