I'm not Arab, but I was 16 years old when I became 'suspicious' about my preference (I was going to say sexual preference but I think it's more than just sexuality, it has to do with love and a sense of security etcetera too, which is why I never really understood the words homosexuality, heterosexuality and bi-sexuality, those words make it sound like it's just about sex I think). Anywayz, at the age of 18 I knew for sure that I was gay although I didn't have sex with a man before my 23th.

Eventhough I didn't grow up in an Arabic society and culture I can post my 'coming out' story if you want (if it's not too off-topic in this thread), I didn't exactly grow up in an open-minded society either.. I'm interested in reading your story and those of other Arab guys as well.

Let me recall... I came to know that I'm sexually interested in the fellow male body when I was 13 I think... everyday on my way to school, I would always walked past this basketball court where dozen of sweaty half-naked cute senior boys would be there playing their basketball game. Know that i look back on it i had been crushing on boys since 3rd grade however i didn't realize it till i was around sometime in the 5th grade (10-11 yrs). I'm not Arab, but Armenians are generally un-welcoming of homosexuality and my mothers side of the family are all Lebanese-Armenians so i know what the Arab culture is like somewhat. He didn't stay at our school to long. Luckily in 9th grade i switched to a public school, and although it was predominantly dominated by baptists and surprisingly a large Muslim minority, it was a lot more tolerable, though there were about only 5 openly gay students my whole time there

Well, it started around the age of 11, but no sexual experiences till I was 17 (ya know what they say about prom nights! :P)
