Buttyboy,

I am so glad you brought this situation to the forefront! I am not familiar with this incident, was the man who was dressed as the bride killed? What ended up happening? I watched the part one to this, but I forget what was the outcome?

What amazes me, is how this was not a small little wedding that was secretly done, but obviously all these people with the wedding party were Muslims and they approved of this ceremony, correct??

I was amazed that with the controversy that they did walk into the street, but then this would be a normal procedure with other weddings in Morocco, correct? So how could so many be okay with this wedding and yet there was such hatred and violence because of this?? It makes no sense to me.

I had an experience in Canada, where I was walking down the street on a quiet street in the daytime, and I was holding the hand to the guy I was dating at the time. A car drove by, and one or two people stuck their heads out and yelled, "faggots". It was beyond me how my holding hands with someone was impinging their freedom as they were on the street many feet away, how were we bothering them? Why did they feel the need to yell their disgust in public? I may see something in public I don't like, I may avoid it, not look at it, say something privately to someone I am with about my feelings, but to take another step and actually yell my disapproval at the person, takes plenty of stupidity, ignorance, or extreme hatred.

All though this is way beyond my example, I think the Morocco wedding is just the continuance of the same continuum, just more extreme. It also amazes me that such hatred comes from people touted by their religion to be examples of God and his love to mankind. Oh please don't worry, this isn't Muslim bashing, there is plenty of stupid examples within Christianity, of the same kinds of hatred, but it is always amazing that it usuallly comes from those suppose to show love and tolerance to mankind. It is amazing how 'religion' and not true spirituality can be confused but this really highlights the difference like a symbol that is out of tune in a professional orchestra, a clanging gong....another clanging gong......please God save us from your people!!!
