Lebanon travel?

Hello To All , I am wondering if traveling, vacationing, to Beruit, is safe at this time? Being American? I know a Greek friend, went to Iran, had no problem , but I wonder what would be the safest country for me,as a gay American to vacation in? Thanks to All, smooth steve

Lebanon and especially Beirut is the safest in the Middle east now. I can assure you and u will have the best time in your life and never regret it.

I would be careful as Americans aren't flavour of the month - decade, right now in the Arab world. Lebanon is amazing as are the Lebanese. I was there during the civil war and even in the midst of this awful time it was still a place where the people lived life to the full.... can you pretend you are a Canadian???? I know several Americans who have.

i have been in beirut for a few weeks last year. it was lots of fun and especially the men. so dont hesitate to go just use common sense.

i was in lebanon this past weekend- everything is perfectly safe. cafes lively, trendy, people everywhere at night- everything's alive! anyone who says it's not safe doesn't know what they're talking about. beirut's doing well right now. i was also in baalbek, tyr, and saida, the first two of which are hezbollah strongholds, and lo and behold everything's fine there too. i went with an american friend who told everyone she was american and she had no problems either. it's all overblown.
