I really read so many postings about Morocco as a country for gay tourists but I still feel unsecure if to got or not. It is a pity that many of the postings here are not very concrete. So I would like to invite you to list in very short notes the PLUS and the MINUS of Morocco for gay tourists according to your personal experiences.
Thank you!

Morocco is one of the most beautiful places to visit in North Africa along with Tunisia. While Tunisians are generally more even tempered and easier to handle, Moroccan boys speak a different language when it comes to dalliances with Western gays. It's very "what can you give me in return" kind of come on, since forever conscious of their machismo, they need to reassure themselves that contact with gays is purely a foray into adventure with pay. The whole attitude is consistent with the double standard of Muslim boys where gay sex is concerned.....women are for babies, men for love...........whichever way you can take it. Enjoy Morocco but be vigilant and always aware that those gorgeous eyes, olive skin, physique to adore, and dick to die for ....might seduce you into a situation wherein you could lose money, or worse end up in trouble and embarrasment while there. Fix the fee or gift beforehand.and hold to your ground and use your brains........not just your balls. Bon voyage !

Let me ask you this: how would you feel if you were Moroccan and you were reading your question? I don't think that there is any county in the world that has been 'made' as a country for gay tourists.. What do you expect of Morocco? My 1st advise: don't visit Morocco as a 'gay tourist', visit Morocco as a person.

To hotcheeks: Thanks for your posting. What you wrote confirms many other postings I read in the meantime. And that is also the reason why I am so sceptical towards morroco.
To buttyboy: I wrote "I really read so many postings about Morocco as a country for gay tourists..." This meant that the focus of many postings I read was on gay sex encounters. It does NOT mean that I myself see morocco only as a country for gay sex. I am personnally against this attitude of only consuming sex and being not interested in culture and society of the country you are visiting.
I am sure that morocco is a beautiful country that is worth a visit. But lets be honest: as gay or bi men we are also interested in encounters with moroccan men. If only normal encounters or sex encounters is a different question.
At least for me encounters with people belong to the highlights of all my journeys.
So I pose my questions more concrete:
1) How easy is it to encounter moroccan men for conversation and drinks etc if NO SEX IS INCLUDED? Just talking and smiling and a bit flirting. With a student or a shop assistant. Do the "normal" men (= no money boys) avoid encounters with tourists? Because in former times or also still now police is controlling contacts?
Do the "normal" men also see the tourists more or less as a big wallet? I mean I am always ready to pay for drinks or a meal. But I expect fairness also from the other side.
2) I learnt that sex is normally only possible in exchange for money. Ok, that is a clear message. If its a kind of business and both sides know it than it is ok if it is a fair business. Open questions: WHERE take the sex encounters with the money boys place if the customer does not live in an appartment? And how much does it normally cost?
